Artist statement
I am a visual artist and music producer based in East Anglia. I create digital designs for large vinyl banners, combining imagery from pop culture with ironic slogans inspired by propaganda. My maximalist visual style replicates the overwhelming effect of browsing the internet. My body of work is united by anticapitalist politics, taking aim at tech corporations, the fossil fuel industry, and social media. Recontextualising the visual and textual vernacular of internet culture, I create bold, oversaturated images with a uniquely contemporary style. Taking these words and symbols from cyberspace into the physical realm elevates them, giving new weight to these ephemeral forms of communication. My music combines sampling, songwriting, and performance art. My techno-pessimist electro pop addresses political topics including the exploitation of workers producing tech commodities, conspiracy theories, and artificial intelligence. I have exhibited and performed internationally at exhibitions, art fairs, and experimental music events.
