Kate Cavill
Actor/Writer/Singer
Kate is a physically disabled actor/singer/writer, originally from East London/ Essex borders. She has had a life-long passion for storytelling and theatre.
Kate completed her BA Hons Literature and Creative Writing degree in 2014 with The Open University.
Recent acting works include the role of ‘Mother’ in the CRIPtic Arts’ play The Crip Monologues at Camden People’s Theatre, and Beyond The Castle Walls for 1623 Theatre’s Shake Up Series (available on YouTube), which she also wrote.
Kate is currently a member of Graeae/Mercury Theatre’s Disabled Writers’ group, and is continuing her acting training with Stagecraft@Headgate, Colchester.
Kate also sings regularly at local events, usually musical theatre numbers.
Kate hopes that through her acting and writing, she can tell a variety of stories, not solely those focusing on disability.
