Creative Corner

The Creative Corner is a community art group in Colchester providing opportunities for adults to be creative.

We hold two sessions each month. The first is on the 1st Wednesday of each month exploring a theme, art technique or style in a relaxed environment. The second session is on the 3rd Wednesday of the month which is an open art style session where attendee’s will bring their own project to work on. These sessions utilise body doubling and social support to encourage creativity.

Both sessions are held in the morning at 10am for 2 hours, with tea and coffee available throughout free of charge. Our sessions welcome everyone of differing art abilities.

The sessions are open to adults (18+) only. Drop in on the day, or sign up through Eventbrite to let us know you’ll be joining.

Access is important to us ...

We believe in reducing barriers for adults to be creative, that is why our sessions are free of charge. Our sessions are LGBTQIA+, disability, neurodiverse and mental health inclusive – every adult is welcome here. 

The area we will be in is located on the ground floor, and there is a disabled toilet available for use. Please reach out if you have any accessibility needs. 

This session will be held at Community360, Winsley's House, High St, Colchester CO1 1UG. There is good access to public transport, with bus stops nearby, and it is a 10-minute walk from Colchester Town Train Station. The nearest parking available are Britannia Car Park and Priory Street Car Park, and disabled parking at Winsley’s House is available if required.
