More information

The objective of the Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust (QEST) is to support excellence in British crafts. The programme offers both scholarships and apprenticeships.

Scholarships are worth up to £18,000, depending on how much funding is required for a project. Apprenticeship funding of up to £6,000 per year (up to three years) can be applied for. The amount allocated depends on how much funding is needed for the Apprenticeship.

Eligible applicants are craftsmen and women aged 17 and older who live and work permanently in the UK. Applicants must be able to demonstrate that they already have a high level of skill and are firmly committed to their craft or trade.

QEST helps to fund salaries, training costs and/or materials. A connection with firms or individuals holding Royal Warrants is not required.

For those wishing to apply for QEST Apprenticeship or Scholarship funding, the next application deadline is 23 August 2019.
