Arts Council England’s National Lottery Project Grants Programme Reopens with New Guidelines

Individual artists, community and cultural organisations can now apply to the National Lottery Project Grants programme under its refreshed guidance.  The changes have been made to better align with the Council’s new strategy, ‘Let’s Create’.

Grants of £1,000 to £100,000 are available for projects lasting a maximum of three years. The funding is for projects that are focused on one or more of the following disciplines:

  • Music
  • Theatre
  • Dance
  • Visual arts.
  • Literature
  • Combined arts – including festivals and carnivals.
  • Museum practice (accredited or unaccredited).
  • Libraries (for activities that deliver against at least one of the Universal Library Offers including: Creativity and Culture; Reading; Information and Digital; Health and Wellbeing).

Under the new guidelines, applications for £30,000 and under are expected to receive a decision within 8 weeks, while applications for £30,000 and over are expected to receive a decision in at least 12 weeks. Applicants are encouraged to secure match funding of at least 10%.
